Q: How do I add eMusic downloads to my MP3 player or mobile phone?

A: eMusic's MP3 files for music and audiobooks work just like other standard media files, including those you rip from your own CDs! Every MP3 player and MP3 capable mobile phone works differently, so consult your device's instructions for detailed steps on syncing MP3 files to it. By using the eMusic Download Manager, whether you copy the files to your player from your desktop, or you use an application, you'll find it should work like a snap.

Here are more detailed instructions for the two most popular brands of devices:

iPod & iPhone:

  • Download and install the eMusic Download Manager and make sure synchronization to iTunes is enabled. When you do this, music and audiobooks you download from eMusic will automatically appear in iTunes and be available for your iPod or iPhone. Then just connect your iPod or iPhone and sync as normal. Depending on how you have configured your iPod or iPhone, you may need to add the new files to one of the playlists on the sync list or manually drag them to the device.

Sansa by Sandisk:

  • There are numerous different models of players by Sansa. We suggest you go to their support website for the most up-to-date and accurate instructions.
